The selected implementation regions for the demonstration project in the first year are: Hengli Township of Huicheng District, Pingtan Township of Huiyang District, Yangcun Township of Boluo County in Huizhou City, Niujiang Township of Enping City, Cangcheng Township of Kaiping City and Duhu Township of Taishan City in Jiangmen City. According to the purposes and requirements of environmental monitoring and the crop system and fertilizer reduction technology implemented in the project areas; it’s planned to conduct monitoring activities at rice production areas, rice rice-vegetable production areas, rice-rice-vegetable (potato system in winter) production areas. To compare and determine emission reduction impacts of different pollution control technologies, and estimate the pollution reduction impacts of the entire project region, it’s decided that the monitoring will focus on impacts of implemented typical pollution control technologies under the rice-vegetable rotation mode, perennial vegetables mode, and double rice mode in the project area respectively. The Objectives are: *. Establishing * monitoring points and conducting continuous monitoring of impacts of the three different planting modes;*. Establishing ** crop production monitoring areas and, conducting continuous monitoring of impacts of fertilizer reduction technologies. (The monitoring is planned for three consecutive years.) The proposed monitoring focuses on pollution impacts of fertilizer surface runoff and leaching on the water environment.The Management Office of Guangdong Agricultural Pollution Control Project now invites eligible consulting firms(“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: (I) Having similar monitoring experience. (II) The laboratory should be certified by related authorities, either as part of the consultant or as an independent entity under a contractual arrangement with the consultant.
